Muddy Puddles is a brand with a conscience. Every piece we create is designed to last and be passed from sisters to brothers. We are committed to developing eco-friendly collections made from recycled fabrics and sustainable sourcing and production. We only work with inspected and approved suppliers. We support a number of children’s charities and ensure that good faulty returns reach refugees in need.

The Muddy Puddles Team painstakingly perfects their designs to ensure every item is flawlessly fit for purpose. Using innovative technology and fabrics all products are created to protect children whatever the weather. Every detail is considered, from reflective trims for high visibility to yank-proof zips for hardy use and adjustable straps for the perfect fit.
Waterproof
Every product is super waterproof. All outerwear has taped seams, waterproof zip protection and has passed a hydrostatic pressure test to a rating of a minimum of 5000mm and up to 10000mm.
Windproof
Ultimate protection from cutting winds is integrated in to all our winter jackets.
Breathable
Almost every item of outerwear is breathable which prevents hot and sticky children when racing around outdoors. It has a DWR (Durable Water Repellant) coating that creates a honeycomb structure of the micropores allowing moisture vapour through (but too small to let water droplets in – phew!).
Insulated
Nothing ruins outdoor fun more than chilly children. With careful consideration of whether an item is for breezy autumn (with 40gm fleece) to polar extremes (240gm insulation plus fleece linings) there are different weights of insulation or soft fleece linings in our outerwear.

our ethical standards
At Muddy Puddles we work hard to ensure that all of our clothes are produced to the highest ethical standard. We visit the manufactures we work with every year, ensuring they all have IS2009 certification which means that the social standard in the factories are high and production is to the highest level of safety.
We support Farms for City Children, providing full sets of waterproofs for children visiting the farms, so they can work hard and reap all the rewards from their week on the farm while staying warm and dry. We also support a local charity, Urban Wild Places, who work to get inner city children outdoors. We are helping their cause by providing them with outdoor kit, raising funds with your help from sales of our puddle pac-a-macs, and running some outdoor workshops for them too.
