We all know that children don’t get enough exercise nowadays – children and young people aged 5-18 should do at least 60 minutes of physical activity every day. Sadly, only 20% of children are currently meeting this recommendation. Good news – you can easily avoid this negative trend by switching to active commuting. Walking to school helps lower your family’s BMI, reduces risk of obesity, heart disease and obesity and it generally does wonders for your young adventurer’s health.
