Muddy Puddles Invites families to join them for some free Muddy Action throughout 2015
Muddy Puddles, the British outdoor adventure brand for babies and children, is joining up with inspiring experts to put on a series of free events throughout 2015 for families of all things glorious in the great outdoors!
Following on from the success of their Mud Larking event last November, Muddy Puddles has once again partnered up with the brilliant duo from the Adventure Walks series. The Adventure Walks team are back with a brand new event inspired by everyone’s favourite nanny, Mary Poppins, for ‘Let’s Go Fly A Kite’! Families with children of all ages are invited to come along and learn to fly a kite in this iconic London spot. For kids who just want more, they can then make their own paper boats and try to float them on the Hampstead ponds!
When: 15 November, 10am-12pm
Come and join One Fine Stay and ourselves to make Elf Houses in Kensington Gardens in the roots of trees using twigs and flowers and other of nature’s tools. Then head home with one of our goody bags and know that a little elf has a home in the park in the build up to Christmas. Suitable for age 2-8years. What: Let’s Go Fly A Kite
When: 22 March, 11am – 1pm
Where: Parliament Hill, Hampstead Heath
We had a terrifically fun and exciting day with over 60 families attending our Kite Flying on Parliament hill. Families were invited to create and make their own kites, then put them to the test against the not so forgiving British wet weather!To see how to event unfolded, read here.
What: Muddy Assault Course Challenge
When: 26 April, 11am – 1pm
Where: St. Albans Park
Tough mudders were invited to come along to our muddy assault course challenge with the daring Ultim8 Warrior team. These amazing challenges are set to help young adventurers burn energy and rise to some awesome challenges whilst racing around St. Albans Park. Some true Ultimate Warriors were created at this event! See the days activity here.
What: London’s Burning
When: 17 May, 11am – 1pm
Where: City of London
Kids of all ages with an interest in history were invited to learn all about the Great Fire of London with the undisputed fonts of knowledge, Becky and Clare from Adventure Walks. This was a great opportunity to be both active and soak up London’s amazing history all at the same time and it was such a brilliant family free event. Full write up ocming soon! What: Clowning Around
When: 13 June, 4pm – 4pm
Where: Chiswick House
A unique opportunity to learn actual circus tricks with the incredible team from Giffords Circus. This unique circus started in 2000 and the quintessentially British Giffords’ vision was of a miniature village green circus – packed, rowdy and glamorous! This will be a truly memorable afternoon.
What : Beach Art
When: 26 July, 1.30pm – 3.30pm
Where: Festival Pier, in front of the Royal Festival Hall (yes, there is a beach!)
An experience many Londoners wouldn’t think they could have in London – an afternoon of making real ‘beach art’. Children will use nature to create masterpieces in the sand, hosted by the brilliant authors of the Beach Book.
What : The Big Feastival
When: 28-30 August
Where: Kingham, Oxfordshire
The Muddy Puddles team will be at this year’s Feastival for muddy fun and games ranging from frog throwing to creating rain cloud pictures. There will be lots of lollies and balloons to be collected from the Muddy Puddles stand too.
What: The Wild Rumpus
When: 13 September, 11am – 1pm
Where: Hyde Park, the old football pitches beside Hyde Park Tennis Centre
Muddy Puddles. in collaboration with Sharky & George, are inviting families to come along and make junk instruments, play tug of war, race around playing games and if you dare, throw water bombs! Join the Wild Rumpus for a super free family event for 2-12 year olds with the best kids party throwers in London!
What: Mud Larking on the Thames
When: 1st November, 11am – 1pm
Where: Millennium Bridge Beach, Thames
Following the success of last November’s Mud Larking event, the Adventure Walks team and Muddy Puddles are inviting families to come along to the banks of the Thames and discover pipes from the 16th Century and bones that look scarily like dinosaurs feet! See here for last years brilliant event!
