Learning Objectives

To tell and write the time to five minutes, including quarter past/to the hour and draw the hands on a clock face to show these times.

Resources

- Lots of stones

- Sharpie markers

- Sticks

- Bag to collect stones in

- Matches for starting fire

- Marshmallows (optional)

Introduction Activity

Let children explore the area, asking them to collect 12 large stones, 12 smaller stones, one large stick and one small stick in their bag

Stone O’clock

Use all the stones collected to build a fire ring, and place the clock hand sticks inside it to act as kindling. Have a mini fire and toast some marshmallows!
