Looking for the perfect family gateway? Head to Devon and enjoy a sunny day on one of the loveliest beaches in the UK. Blackpool Sands is a family-friendly, safe beach with exceptionally clean water. Your little ones will have lots of space to run free and build sand castles (there are large sandpits available for the brave sand-castle makers to enjoy). You can also try family kayaking or paddle boards and spend a wonderful and active day outdoors. There’s also a café, a shop and the beautiful Blackpool Gardens just behind the beach.
West Wittering beach is a lovely sandy beach, perfect for a relaxing family day out, surrounded by wildlife and different plant species. There are lifeguards on site, so you and your gang will be in safe hands all day long. Don’t worry if you forget your bucket and spade – you can buy all the summer essentials in the beach shop. There’s also a beach café if you get hungry or need a little pick-me-up.
This lovely sandy beach is one of the nicest on the South Coast. With lots of fine, gold sand around, it calls for sand castles and sand pies. All the facilities you may need (showers, changing rooms, toilets) are close to the beach. There’s also a play area for children, a barbecue area, a café and even crazy golf courses to make your family day out even more exciting.
Brighton beach is perfect for a fast-paced and adrenaline-filled family trip. The iconic Brighton Pier, which opened in 1899, is the place to be. Packed with games, old style game machines and even funfair rides, you can spend hours on this fun filled pier. If an afternoon of family time spent on the beach is what you want, head to Brighton. The one thing you cannot do is of course, build sandcastles. Fun fact – the beach is made up of over 1,000,000 pebbles!
This quiet, clean, sandy beach is perfect for a family day out with your little ones. Remember to have a ride on the Beach Train or a donkey ride – we’re sure your children will love it! It’s also a paradise for the shell collectors. There are lots of places to eat or have a cuppa or an ice cream around, too.
