1) The Forest of Marston Vale, Bedfordshire

The Millennium Country Park is an award-winning green space and home to over 200 hectares of wonderful woodland. Discover the wonderful green spaces this summer with your family. 2) South Norwood Country Park, London

With over 100 different bird species, this park is a perfect place for bird watchers. It’s a wonderful nature reserve with over 120 acres of wetland and meadows, a real hidden gem located in the London Borough of Croydon. Take your explorers out for a long walk and we’re sure you’ll quickly feel as though you have been transported to the countryside.

3)  Rufford Abbey Country Park, Nottinghamshire

There is plenty to do and explore in this beautiful park set in the grounds of a 12th-century Cistercian monastery. Go on a walk around a lake (it shouldn’t take long to circle the lake which is perfect for little legs) and then head to the playground area (make sure your little ones maintain social distancing).

4) Tegg’s Nose Country Park, Cheshire

Tegg’s Nose is located on the western edge of the Peak District National Park. It’s a great place to recharge your batteries by exploring the great outdoors. Head to Tegg’s Nose park to enjoy stunning views over the Cheshire Plain. If you’re lucky, you’ll see Liverpool’s cathedrals and Welsh hills beyond on a clear day.

5) Lepe Country Park, Hampshire

Lepe Country Park is set in within the New Forest National Park on the shores of the Solent with wonderful views across the Isle of Wight. The park consists of the clifftop and a lovely beach below. There is loads to do in the park with little ones – enjoy a seashore scavenger hunt together, go for a long countryside walk or have a family BBQ (small BBQs available for daytime hire from 7th July).

6) Upton Country Park, Dorset
