Muddy Puddles was started in 1994 by me, Susie Cullen, a farmers wife and mum of three.
My kids loved being out in all weathers, but would end the day wet, cold and covered in mud. I looked everywhere for durable child sized waterproofs, but most left little to be desired. Waterproof jackets would end up letting water in through the seams and trousers would not withstand the daily adventures of young children for very long!
I needed a solution, so decided to make my own clothing for children designed especially for wet and muddy play. At first the clothes were purely my own children's benefit, but it wasn't long before curious mums would stop and ask me where my children got their jackets and waterproof trousers. When I told them I had made them myself I started getting requests "Could you make some for my kids please Susie?"
Of course I was happy to help!
Word spread, and today the name Muddy Puddles stands for the highest quality waterproofs, as well as down to earth clothing and protective gear for kids. Nowadays I no longer make every waterproof myself, but I do know what makes good quality clothing that children find comfortable and easy to wear in rain, wind, snow or shine.
Muddy Puddles clothes are comfy and practical, but best of all they give your child the chance to enjoy playtime for longer and you won't have to worry about them getting cold and wet because at the end of the day they'll be coming home warm and dry.
So that is how I keep my children comfortable when the weather turns miserable, and I would like to invite you to try Muddy Puddles clothing for your children too. In fact I am so confident you and your children will love Muddy Puddles clothes that if for any reason you don't, you are welcome to return them - completely free of charge - for a full refund.
It's really easy to order from our website or by phone, and with next working day delivery your items could be with you tomorrow, so feel free to browse for something you and your children like the look of.
We are still based on the farm, working out of some converted farm buildings, and the farming still carries on around us, sometimes in the summer its all hands needed to help move some cattle along the road, between fields. So if you ring us up you can never be quite sure what we have been up to!
